Rebecca and Mark's Wedding Tips
- Food and Drink
- Wow guests right away with great appetizers and an open bar. Finish with memorable desserts, and the rest will take care of itself.
- Photography and Video
- Find a photographer who you like personally. We really liked working with our photographer and used many of her ideas. Also put out disposable cameras. It's worth having the ceremony videotaped if you can find a low-key camera person.
- Costumes
- If you can find someone to make your wedding dress, do it! Every man looks great in a tuxedo. Let the bridesmaids put some personality in their outfits.
- Homemade Outdoor Weddings
- It's worth all the effort (including planning for rain, renting party tents, tables and chairs, and the all-important port-a-potty equation).
- Miscellaneous tips
- In Massachusetts, liquor stores are closed on Sundays.
Always have a Plan B.
